Este trabajo analiza si Twitter es un indicador de opinión pública efectivo. Se trabaja con un conjunto de datos que recoge la actividad de dos semanas de los principales usuarios que dialogaron sobre el arribo de Michelle Bachelet a la elección presidencial chilena en marzo de 2013. Se presenta una descripción general del caso, un análisis de emotividad y un análisis de redes sociales. Se descubre que la mayoría de los mensajes no son favorables a la candidata y se identifica un cluster de usuarios que emiten mensajes en su contra.
This work analyses if TWitter is an effective public opinion indicator. It works with a data set that gathers up two weeks activity of the main users that interact upon the Michelle Bachelet's arrival last march 2013 for the Chilean presidential election. It presents a general description of the case, sentiment analysis and social network analysis. It is discovered that most messages were not favorable to the candidate and it is detected a cluster of users that express messages against her.
