This paper discusses, from the empirical evidences of a reception study, the relation of men with the masculinity representations present in the advertising flow. The objective is to understand how the social class acts and which are the proposed tensionings in the relation of these agents with the masculine representation in advertisements. In order to do that, the readings of five popular class subjects based on the sociality mediation (MARTÍN-BARBERO, 2006), specifically, the social class issue, about the advertising speech concerning beauty, sexuality, work and family were analyzed. In this reflection, a social class beaconing and interfering in the way the popular class men define themselves and dialogue with the advertising in the gender identity construction process was noticed.
