    Este ensayo analiza los conceptos de pluralismo, democracia y educación. Afirma que la relación de los dos primeros con el tercero es divergente, cuando no excluyente. Se muestra la presencia histórica de esta tensión en el pensamiento occidental, y la fecundidad de los aportes de Durkheim, Berlin, Berstein, y Bourdieu para reflexionar en torno a ella

    This paper reviews the concepts of pluralism, democracy and education. The relation of the first two with the third is divergent and could eventually be considered as exclusive. The historical presence of this tension in Western thinking is shown, as well as the fruitfulness of the contributions of Durkheim, Berlin, Bernstein and Bourdieu
