Hace un breve recuento histórico de sus principales exponentes � sobre todo desde el campo ingenieril� y pasa a la argumentación. Presenta argumentos en contra de la existencia independiente de la filosofía de la tecnología, los rebate y presenta argumentos a favor de ella. Su objetivo es que esta disciplina se vea como un campo de investigación propio, sin estar sujeto a otros �como, por ejemplo, la filosofía de la ciencia.
