This paper, as part of a larger study examining Millennial academic librarians, their career selection, their attitudes, and their technology skills, looks specifically at the technology skills and attitudes toward technology among a group of young librarians and library school students. The author developed a two-part research study including an online survey and individual interviews with Millennial librarians and library school students. There were 315 valid survey responses. The respondents were nearly evenly divided between library school students and individuals having already obtained a MLS degree. Concerning the format of their library school program, 38.4% earned the degree at an institution entirely in person, 19.6% completed the degree entirely online, and 42% went to a program that was a mix of in person and online courses. This mixed-methods study examined many characteristics of Millennial librarians, and this article noted their technology skills and attitudes toward technology.
