El presente artículo se centra en el establecimiento de los principios de identificación del espectador con el relato fílmico a través del sonido, a partir de las aportaciones de la Teoría del Emplazamiento así como de aproximaciones procedentes de la semiótica de la comunicación y de diferentes estudios sobre cinematografía. Se ejemplifica asimismo toda la exposición con el uso de recursos sonoros y musicales en el largometraje Apocalypse Now (1979, Francis Ford Coppola).
The present article is centered on the establishment of the principles of the audience�s identification with the film through the sound, based in the Placement Theory contributions as well as in some approaches coming from the semiotic of the communication and in different cinematography studies. All the theoretical arguments are exemplified with the use of musical and sound resources in the film Apocalypse Now (1979, Francis Ford Coppola).
