El autor analiza la figura del amicus curiae, su concepto e impacto en el procedimiento judicial y realiza un breve desarrollo histórico de la figura.
Revisa su aplicación, por un lado, en sistemas jurídicos nacionales, entre ellos: Argentina, Brasil y Estados Unidos de América; y por otro, en el Sistema Interamericano de Derechos Humanos. Da cuenta de la recepción y alcances de la figura en México y expone algunos argumentos a favor y en contra de su implantación.
The author analyses the figure of amicus curiae, its concept and impact on the judicial procedure; hereby, a brief historical account of the figure is analyses its implementation in national judicial systems, such as the ones of Argentina, Brazil and the United States as well as in the Interamerican Human Rights System. In the last part, the author gives an account of the reception and scope of the figure in Mexico and develops arguments pro and against its implementation.
