Los partidos políticos han adaptado a su forma de comunicarse con los ciudadanos los criterios del lenguaje publicitario, los esquemas del espectáculo mediático y la agresividad de las campañas negativas. Los mensajes están cargados de altas dosis de persuasión y no excluyen la mentira como arma arrojadiza contra el adversario.
Parece que todo vale con tal de salir airoso de la perpetua campaña electoral en la que nos han metido. En este juego, políticos y medios de comunicación no dan a los ciudadanos el importante papel que deben desempeñar.
Con una comunicación política cívica, podemos lograr el paso de mero votante y consumidor de los productos del marketing político, a demócratas practicantes. Nuestra democracia lo necesita.
Political communication is using language that can ini- The political parties have adapted their way of communicating with the citizens the criteria of the advertising language, the schemes of the media spectacle and the aggressiveness of negative campaigns. The messages include high doses of persuasion and do not exclude the lie as weapon against the adversary. It seems that any voucher so as to be the winner of the perpetual electoral campaign in which they have put us. In this game, politicians and mass media do not give to the citizens the important paper that they must have. With a political civic communication, we can take a step ahead, from being the habitual voter and consumer of political marketing products, to being real democrats. Our democracy needs it.
