The article presents an exhibition from the theory and art history about imitation between various arts, including artists and potential reasons for the occurrence of the copy of the paint in a film. The reference case in point is the recreation of the painting El Requiem, by José Clemente Orozco copied into a film by the cinematographer Gabriel Figueroa Mateos.
