After a brief characterization of the dictatorial regime established in Argentina from 1976 to 1983, the article focuses on the birth of the human rights organization "Mujeres de la plaza de Mayo". Analyzing the origins of the organization by adapting the 1. P. Thomson's concept "moral economy of the crowd" into "moral economy of the gender", the author tries to show how the initial characteristics progressively transformed into more political ways of action and organization.
