This paper argues that the book About Time of Norbert Elias represents a theoretical and analytical referent to develop the sociological study of time. This paper argues that the legacy of Norbert Elias in this knowledge area includes three aspects that they are linked with the phases of the sociological research: epistemological rupture, theoretical framework and empirical research.
