El presente trabajo relata el tránsito de un líder agrarista en los años treinta a un cacique ejidal en la década de 1950 y las causas de su derrota. Este caso ejemplifica las dificultades del reparto agrario en el Bajío y también muestra cómo se tergiversó el proyecto gubernamental del ejido. Con este escrito quisiera contribuir al estudio del significado de la reforma agraria y ofrecer una reflexión sobre el cacicazgo como forma de relación sociopolítica todavía existente en el campo mexicano.
This work describes the trasition of a agrarian lider at thirtieth into local boss at fifties of XX century and the reason of his defeat. This case exemplifies the difficulties of the land reform in the Bajío and explains also the distorsion of the govermental project of ejido. Y would like to contribute to the study of the agrarian reform and offer my reflection about the system of dominance by the local boss as a form of social and political relaciones that still exist in the mexican country.
