Utilizando la información proveniente tanto de las Ordenanzas Municipales de la villa granadina de Motril del siglo XVI como, sobre todo, de los Autos de Buen Gobierno de los siglos XVII y XVIII, se ha podido reconstruir tanto las formas de vida de la población como la estructura administrativa del municipio. Es de notar que los Autos o Bandos de Buen Gobierno son una fuente de primer orden para el conocimiento del derecho local moderno, aún poco explotada.
Using the information coming from the 16th century Municipal ordinances of the town of Motril in Granada, and mainly from the Writs of Good Government for the 17th and 18th centuries, the author has been able to reconstruct the forms of life of the population and the administrative structure of the municipality. It is noticeable that the Writs or Bans of Good Government are a source of first order for the knowledge of the modern local right, and still little exploded.
