  • SciELO (Scientific Electronic Library On-Line) is an open access repository focusing on scientific information publishing. This paper describes its methodology, main elements and tools for information search and retrieval. SciELO-Spain, which specialises in Spanish health science journals, is also described: its history, evolution and future perspectives.
