With the continuous development of computer and network technology, corpus teaching has become a trend in modern teaching. English teaching is our students’ primary foreign language. English is also used as an international language. As a modern person, English must be mastered. Therefore, a corpus based reform plan for ESP teaching mode has been proposed. However, the traditional English training model can no longer meet the current teaching needs. In today’s increasingly rich corpus, particle swarm optimization is applied to corpus based college English teaching models. This study explores the reform of the corpus based ESP (English for Specific Purposes) teaching model in the big data environment. With the support of big data technology, ESP teaching can more accurately meet the actual needs of students through deep mining and analysis of corpora. The reformed teaching model emphasizes personalized learning, data-driven teaching decision-making, and real-time feedback, effectively improving students’ learning efficiency and practical application abilities. The results indicate that this method has strong practicality.
