En el proceso de regulación de la inteligencia artificial en la UniónEuropea se ha planteado la conveniencia de introducir la perspectiva de lasostenibilidad ambiental en su ordenación. Tanto desde el punto de vista de lasoportunidades que plantea esta tecnología en la protección del medio ambientecomo, sobre todo, a la hora de evaluar y reducir los impactos que sobre elmedio ambiente y los recursos energéticos proyectan los sistemas e infraestructuras de inteligencia artificial, resulta muy relevante su mutua imbricaciónjurídica.
