El articulo desarrolla los supuestos teóricos y metodológicos propios de la recuperación territorial posterior a un desastre volcánico, a partir de las indicaciones surgidas tras la Conferencia de Sendai. A su vez, el texto atiende al marco existente en España en materia de planificación del territorio y de protección civil, prestando especial atención al existente en la Isla de La Palma, tanto antes como después de la erupción volcánica de 2021. Finalmente se realiza una valoración general de los logros y limitaciones que aún existen en materia de reducción de riesgos y ordenación del territorio
This paper develops the theoretical and methodological assumptions of territorial recovery after a volcanic disaster, based on the indications that emerged after the Sendai Conference. At the same time, the article deals with the existing framework in Spain in terms of territorial planning and civil protection, paying special attention to the existing one in the island of La Palma, both before and after the volcanic eruption of 2021. Finally, a general assessment is made of the achievements and limitations that still exist in terms of risk reduction and land use planning.
