El artículo aborda el suicidio como política implementada por la organización revolucionaria argentina Montoneros en la segunda mitad de la década de 1970 del siglo XX. Se observa cómo, cuándo y por qué razones se estableció el suicidio como regla para el conjunto de la militancia, examinando las normativas y la experiencia de militantes que asumieron ese mandato. La aproximación se realiza desde la historia cultural y la historia de las emociones, y se sostiene en el análisis de un corpus documental heterogéneo que considera material producido por la organización y registros testimoniales producidos con posteridad.
The article explores the implementation of suicide as a policy by the Argentine revolutionary organization Montoneros during the second half of the 1970s. It examines how, when, and why suicide was instituted as a rule for all members, analyzing both the regulations and the experiences of militants who followed this directive. The approach is rooted in cultural history and the history of emotions, drawing on a diverse documentary corpus that includes materials produced by the organization as well as testimonial records created afterward.
