El artículo analiza la forma en la cual el populismo libertariano, alianza estratégica entre el libertarianismo y la extrema derecha, se organiza actualmente en América Latina. Se plantea que es posible encontrar en la región un intento por impulsar una política de masas en plataformas regionales de derecha y libertarianas, asociadas con el trumpismo. El artículo busca: a) dar cuenta de los principios teóricos y supuestos del maridaje estratégico entre libertarianismo y extrema derecha; b) problematizar su estrategia de interpelación política; c) analizar su estructura orgánica y d) realizar un breve balance de sus alcances y limitaciones. Los hallazgos muestran que la construcción del populismo libertariano es parte de una apuesta estratégica presente desdela década de 1990 en los circuitos del libertarianismo estadounidense. El trabajo concluye con una reflexión sobre la urgencia de discutir y comprender la apuesta del populismo libertariano por movilizar masas
The article analyses the way in which libertarian populism, a strategic alliance between libertarianism and the extreme right, is currently organised in Latin America. It argues that it is possible to find in the region an attempt to promote mass politics in regional right-wing and libertarian platforms associated with Trumpism. The article seeks to: a) account for the theoretical principles and assumptions of the strategic marriage between libertarianism and the extreme right; b) problematise its strategy of political interpellation; c) analyse its organisational structure; and d) briefly assess its scope and limitations. The findings show that the construction of libertarian populism is part of a strategic bet present since the 1990s in the circuits of American libertarianism. The paper concludes with a reflection on the urgency of discussing and understanding libertarian populism's bid to mobilise the masses
