¿Cuáles son las consideraciones de la ciudadanía mexicana para confiar en la presidencia? La confianza política se ha estudiado a partir de parámetros como la ausencia de corrupción y la presencia de libertades civiles. Este artículo propone un análisis de la confianza política no solo a partir de la relación entre la ciudadanía con sus instituciones, sino también por medio de interrelaciones de confianza ciudadana. De igual manera, se complementa el modelo con condiciones sociales como la confianza generalizada y la confianza particularizada. La presente investigación busca explicar la variación de confianza política en los cuatro presidentes postransición democrática en México (2000-2022). Se realizó un análisis cualitativo comparativo para especificar qué condiciones o configuración explica la asignación de confianza política. Entre los principales hallazgos se encontró que ninguna de las variables se erigió como condición suficiente o necesaria, también que la dimensión política tuvo mayor relevancia para la asignación de confianza y, finalmente, que existió un marcado impacto contextual al inicio de los sexenios.
What are the considerations of Mexican citizens when trusting the presidency? Political trust has been studied based on parameters such as the absence of corruption and the presence of civ-il liberties. This article proposes an analysis of political trust based not only on the relationship between citizens and their institutions but also on the interrelations of citizen trust. Likewise, the model is complemented by social condi-tions such as trust and particularized trust. This research seeks to explain the variation in polit-ical trust in the four post-democratic transition presidents in Mexico (2000-2022). A Qualitative Comparative Analysis (qca) was carried out to specify which conditions or configurations ex-plain the allocation of political trust.
