El presente artículo se centra en analizar desde un punto de vista cuantitativo la evolución y situación actual del mercado de trabajo del sector cultural para, a continuación, abordar las principales novedades legislativas laborales y sociales aprobadas recientemente bajo el paraguas del llamado “Estatuto del Artista”. El objetivo es valorar hasta qué punto estos cambios responden a las necesidades evidenciadas por los datos y cuáles serían las sucesivas líneas de acción legislativa que deberían desarrollarse también en atención a ellos.
This article focuses on analysing, from a quantitative point of view, the evolution and current situation of the labour market in the cultural sector, and then addresses the main new labour and social legislation recently approved under the umbrella of the so-called ‘Artist’s Statute’. The aim is to assess the extent to which these changes respond to the needs evidenced by the data and what successive lines of legislative action should also be developed in response to them.
