Se ofrece un análisis de las prestaciones a corto plazo en el sistema de seguridad social nicaragüense, tomando como referencia la sentencia número 166 del Tribunal Nacional Laboral de Apelación del 07 de abril de 2022. Se examina la normativa vigente y el contexto de la resolución, con el fin de valorar jurídicamente la resolución. A través de un enfoque comparativo, se discuten las implicaciones de la sentencia y su impacto en los derechos de los asegurados en Nicaragua. Finalmente, se concluye que la resolución fundamenta su fallo en una interpretación errónea de la Ley de Seguridad Social.
An analysis of short-term benefits in the Nicaraguan social security system is provided, taking as a reference ruling number 166 of the National Labour Court of Appeal of 7 April 2022. The current legislation and the context of the decision are examined in order to make a legal assessment of the decision. Through a comparative approach, the implications of the ruling and its impact on the rights of insured persons in Nicaragua are discussed. Ultimately, it was concluded that the decision was based on an erroneous interpretation of the Social Security Act.
