The aim of this article was to discuss the correlation between Animal Justice and zoonotic diseases, especially COVID-19. The methodology versed in a theoretical research. The ill-treatment of animals is making us sick, based on the unmistakable connection between animal health, human health and environmental health, what was called One Health. Rethinking theorthodox relationship between men and animals, in particular the exploitation of animals for food, from the perspective of Animal Justice, is fundamental mainly to try to reduce risks of new pandemics.
O objetivo do presente artigo foi discorrer sobre a correlação entre Justiça Animal e doenças zoonóticas, mais especialmente, a COVID-19. A metodologia versada fora uma Pesquisa teórica. Os maus-tratos infligidos aos animais nos estão adoecendo, a partir da inequívoca conexão entre saúde animal, saúde humana e saúde ambiental, no que se convencionou chamar de One Health. Repensar a ortodoxa relação entre homens e animais, em especial, a exploração dos animais para alimentação, sob o prisma da Justiça Animal, é fundamental mormente para tentar reduzir riscos de novas pandemias.
