El equilibrio y la relevancia que se brinda a temas de salud íntima femenina han sido escasos, es por ello que, el presente trabajo de titulación analizó la esfera informativa relacionada con el contenido de salud íntima femenina dentro de los medios sociales ecuatorianos. Se evidencia desde qué aristas cada medio trabaja la información, cómo la presentan y cuán necesario ha sido para ellos vincularse con la salud de la mujer. El hecho de nombrarlo Spotting de información se anexa a la idea de información intermitente, como el spotting menstrual, un sangrado irregular y discontinuo que ocurre por cambios hormonales o efectos secundarios de anticonceptivos.
The balance and relevance given to topics of women’s intimate health have been scarce, that is why, this thesis explored the informational sphere related to the space granted to content on women’s intimate health within Ecuadorian social media. It is evident from which angles each media outlet works the information, how they present it, and how necessary it has been for them to engage with women’s health. The term Spotting of information is attached to the idea of intermittent information, like menstrual spotting, an irregular and discontinuous bleeding that occurs due to hormonal changes or contraceptive side effects.
