Los llamados «juicios mediáticos» o «juicios paralelos» representan un desafío complejo tanto para el sistema de justicia como para la sociedad en su conjunto. Un fenómeno que acontece cuando los medios de comunicación juzgan públicamente unos hechos y a unas personas antes de que se haya llegado a un pronunciamiento por los tribunales de justicia, en paralelo al desarrollo del proceso judicial o, inclu-so, antes de que se inicien los procedimientos legales. La necesidad de prevenir y remediar los efectos de estos indeseados procesos mediáticos sobre los sujetos afec-tados es un importante reto de la actual sociedad de la información.
Die sogenannten «Medienprozesse» oder «Parallelprozesse» stellen sowohl für das Justizsystem als auch für die Gesellschaft insgesamt eine komplexe Heraus-forderung dar. Ein Phänomen, das auftritt, wenn die Medien bestimmte Tat-sachen und Personen öffentlich vorverurteilen, bevor die Gerichte ein Urteil gefällt haben, parallel zur Entwicklung des gerichtlichen Verfahrens oder sogar vor Beginn der Gerichtsverfahren. Die Notwendigkeit, die Auswirkungen die-ser unerwünschten medialen Prozesse auf die betroffenen Personen zu verhindern und zu beheben, stellt eine bedeutende Herausforderung für die heutige Informa-tionsgesellschaft dar.
So-called «media trials» or «parallel trials» make it a complex challenge to both the justice system and society as a whole. A phenomenon that occurs when the media publicly judge facts and people before a pronouncement has been reached by the courts of justice, in parallel with the development of the judicial process or even before legal proceedings are initiated. The need to prevent and remedy the effects of these unwanted media processes on the affected subjects is an important chal-lenge of the current information society.
