Esta investigación analiza el discurso de la Inteligencia Artificial (IA), específicamente de ChatGPT, tras utilizar esta herramienta para redactar 15 noticias sobre migración en España y compararlas con la representación mediática de este tema en dicho país, caracterizada por estereotipos negativos y la ausencia de la voz de las propias personas migrantes. Para ello, se realizó una revisión documental sobre el uso de esta tecnología en el periodismo y un análisis de contenido de las noticias generadas por ChatGPT. Como resultado, se detectó que ChatGPT, a pesar de distanciarse en algunos abordajes puntuales, como el no incorporar temas relacionados con la inseguridad ciudadana, la criminalidad y la integración de las personas migrantes en la sociedad de acogida, reproduce patrones de los medios de comunicación españoles, como el interés en la entrada irregular en territorio español por medio de pateras, que es sobredimensionada con datos y conceptos inexactos, el constante uso del término "migrantes" sin resaltar su condición de persona y el énfasis en el origen geográfico de estos. Tras esta investigación se concluye la necesidad de una autorregulación ética en la creciente implementación de la IA en el oficio periodístico.
This research analyzes the discourse of Artificial Intelligence (AI), specifically ChatGPT, after using this tool to write 15 news articles on migration in Spain and comparing them with the media representation of this issue in the country, characterized by negative stereotypes and the absence of the voices of migrants themselves. To this end, a documentary review was conducted on the use of this technology in journalism and a content analysis of the news articles generated by ChatGPT. As a result, it was found that ChatGPT, despite deviating in some specific approaches, such as not incorporating topics related to public insecurity, crime, and the integration of migrants into the host society, reproduces patterns of Spanish media, such as the interest in irregular entry into Spanish territory via small boats (pateras), which is exaggerated with inaccurate data and concepts, the constant use of the term "migrants" without highlighting their condition as persons, and the emphasis on their geographical origin. Following this research, the need for ethical self-regulation in the increasing implementation of AI in journalism is concluded.
