Los desafíos culturales nunca han dejado de estar en el centro de la existencia humana. Con los acontecimientos adversos que han sacudido a la humanidad históricamente, algunos hábitos y lugares culturales han ido desapareciendo mientras otros han persistido. De ahí la urgencia de salvaguardar lo que queda del patrimonio cultural de cada pueblo. Este estudio explora los mecanismos de la patrimonialización y la salvaguardia del patrimonio cultural camerunés, así como las sinuosidades de la cultura bamileke. En el contexto camerunés, la tarea de patrimonialización no resulta fácil, dado la diversidad étnica y cultural del país. Por tratarse de un proceso a la vez sociocultural y político, la compilación de los elementos patrimoniales ocupa a una fuerza laboral diversa. En esta área geográfica, el pueblo Bamileke es reconocido como uno que ilumina el paisaje cultural por su diversidad cultural y apego a sus valores tradicionales. Orgulloso de sus ritos, sus jefaturas tradicionales, sus bosques sagrados y sus reyes con poderes místicos, el pueblo Bamileke cree en sus antepasados, intermediarios entre los muertos y los vivos, y se rinde culto a los cráneos de sus difuntos.
Cultural challenges have never ceased to be at the centre of human existence. With the adverse events that have historically shaken humanity, some cultural habits and places have been disappearing while others have persisted. Hence the urgency of safeguarding what remains of the cultural heritage of each people. This study explores the mechanisms of patrimonialisation and the safeguarding of Cameroonian cultural heritage, as well as the sinuosities of Bamileke culture. In the Cameroonian context, the task of patrimonialisation is not easy, given the ethnic and cultural diversity of the country. Being both a socio-cultural and political process, the compilation of heritage features occupies a diverse workforce. In this geographical area, the Bamileke people are recognized as one that illuminates the cultural landscape with their cultural diversity and attachment to their traditional values. Proud of their rites, their traditional chiefdoms, their sacred forests and their kings with mystical powers, the Bamileke people believe in their ancestors, intermediaries between the dead and the living, and worship the skulls of their deceased
