Más allá de las reticencias recibidas con respecto a su forma y contenido, las Lecciones —apuntes de los estudiantes de Immanuel Kant, en los que se recoge su docencia sobre diversas materias— son un valioso recurso para los estudios kantianos. Así lo corrobora el valor que les conferían sus contemporáneos, así como su papel en presentar la faceta docente de Kant, la evolución de su pensamiento, el modo en que se conceptualizan nociones filosóficas clave, y las tesis con las que enriquecen las ideas plasmadas en los textos escritos. Desde finales del siglo XX y, especialmente, a partir del XXI, varias de las Lecciones han sido traducidas al español, ofreciendo importantes recursos para la comunidad hispanohablante. En este artículo expondremos las aportaciones de estos libros de apuntes, tanto por los contemporáneos de Kant como en la actualidad, y desgranaremos las traducciones existentes al español, mencionando las decisiones de traducción de algunos conceptos clave, sus aportaciones más importantes, y su recepción académica.
Despite past reticence about their form and content, the Lectures —notes by Immanuel Kant’s students, recording his teaching on various subjects— are a valuable resource for Kantian studies. This can be corroborated by the value placed on them by their contemporaries, as well as by their role in presenting Kant’s teaching, the evolution of his thought, the way in which key philosophical notions are conceptualized, and the theses with which they enrich the ideas presented in the published writings. Since the end of the 20th century, and especially since the 21st century, several of the Lectures have been translated into Spanish, offering important resources for the Spanish-speaking community. In this article we will present the contributions of these notebooks, both for Kant’s contemporaries and for today, and we will describe the existing translations into Spanish, mentioning the translation decisions of some key concepts, their most important contributions, and their academic reception.
