Los Entornos de Aprendizaje Personales (EAP) en educación superior, definidos como sistemas integrados de recursos y apoyo, son objeto de investigación para comprender la interacción estudiante-tecnología en el proceso educativo. Aunque la investigación ha progresado, persisten lagunas sustanciales que requieren mayor atención y exploración detallada. Por lo anterior, el objetivo es examinar las tendencias investigativas sobre los EAP en el contexto de educación superior. Para ello, se realiza un análisis bibliométrico en la base de datos Scopus y Web of Science a partir de los parámetros de la declaración PRISMA. Como resultado principal, destaca años clave como 2014, 2019 y 2021. Dabbagh N y Kitsantas A son referentes destacados. La evolución temática va de Social Media a Questionnaire Validation y Self-Directed Learning. PLE se consolida, y emergen Online Learning, Learning Technologies. La clasificación de palabras clave subraya la necesidad de profundizar en conceptos existentes para guiar futuras investigaciones.
Personal Learning Environments (PLE) in higher education, defined as integrated systems of resources and support, have been the subject of research to understand student-technology interaction in the educational process. Although research has progressed, significant gaps remain that require further attention and detailed exploration. Therefore, the objective is to examine research trends on personal learning environments in the context of higher education. To this end, a bibliometric analysis will be carried out in the Scopus and Web of Science databases, based on the parameters of the PRISMA declaration. As a main result, it highlights key years such as 2014, 2019 and 2021. Dabbagh N and Kitsantas A are notable references. The thematic evolution goes from social media to questionnaire validation and self-directed learning. PLE consolidates and online learning, learning technologies emerge. The keyword classification highlights the need to delve into existing concepts to guide future research.
