La investigación expone como objetivo determinar la inuencia de la aplicación Duolingo y comprensión de textos en inglés en los estudiantes del cuarto año del nivel secundario de una Institución Educativa. El tipo de investigación que se utilizó es de aplicación y, el diseño fue pre experimental, el método de investigación es el hipotético-deductivo. El procedimiento para la obtención de datos fue mediante una prueba de entrada y salida con 20 ítems en relación a la comprensión de textos en inglés. A través del método estadístico T- Student se consideró una muestra de 26 estudiantes del muestreo no probabilístico. En la prueba de entrada, la mayoría de los estudiantes se encontraron en un nivel de proceso (65,38 %) y en la prueba de salida un 57.69 % de los estudiantes alcanzaron el nivel de logro destacado. Por lo tanto, se verificó la hipótesis general de estudio con resultado de p- valor 0,00032702. En ese sentido, se concluyó que la aplicación Duolingo inuye significativamente en la comprensión de textos en inglés en los estudiantes de la muestra de estudio.
The objective of this report is to determine the inuence of the Duolingo application and the comprehension of English texts in students in the fourth year of secondary school at an educational institution. The type of research used is of application and the design was pre-experimental, the research method is hypothetical-deductive. The procedure for obtaining data was by means of an entry and exit test with 20 items in relation to the comprehension of texts in English. Through the T-Student statistical method, a sample of 26 students of nonprobabilistic sampling was considered. In the entrance test, most of the students were found in a process level (65.38 %) and in the exit test 57.69 % of the students reached the level of outstanding achievement. Therefore, the general hypothesis of study was verified with a result of p-value 0.00032702. In this sense, it was concluded that the Duolingo application significantly inuences the comprehension of English texts in the students of the study sample.
