El objetivo de la investigación fue determinar la influencia del internet en el rendimiento académico en estudiantes de educación básica regular. El estudio se desarrolló bajo un estudio cuantitativo, de diseño no experimental, descriptivo y correlacional. La muestra estuvo constituida por 103 estudiantes de la Institución Educativa Andrés Avelino Cáceres, Perú. El instrumento empleado para la recopilación de datos fue el cuestionario. Los resultados nos permiten evidenciar que existe una influencia entre el internet y el rendimiento académico de manera significativa. Respecto al uso del internet más del cincuenta por ciento alcanzan un nivel medio y un 47,7% un nivel alto. Se concluye que, a través del uso del internet en el rendimiento académico, cumple patrones de comunicación e interacción modificando la forma de aprendizaje para obtener un buen rendimiento académico en el educando.
The objective of the research was to determine the influence of the Internet on the academic performance of regular basic education students. The study was developed under a quantitative study, with a non-experimental, descriptive and correlational design. The sample consisted of 103 students from the Andrés Avelino Cáceres Educational Institution, Peru. The instrument used for data collection was the questionnaire. The results allow us to show that there is a significant influence between the Internet and academic performance. Regarding the use of the Internet, more than fifty percent reach a medium level and 47.7% a high level. It is concluded that, through the use of the Internet in academic performance, it complies with communication and interaction patterns, modifying the way of learning to obtain a good academic performance in the student.
