La creciente preocupación internacional por la degradación del medioambiente ocasionada por el ser humano exige el compromiso y la colaboración de todos. En este sentido, las instituciones de Educación Superior asumen una responsabilidad notable, en cuanto son las encargadas de formar a los futuros profesionales para que en el ejercicio de sus funciones se desenvuelvan con criterios éticos y de respeto hacia el ecosistema. En este marco, el presente artículo describe una experiencia implementada en la asignatura Estructuras 3 del actual Grado en Estudios de Arquitectura de la Universidad de A Coruña, con el objeto de sensibilizar al estudiantado con relación al impacto medioambiental de las decisiones de proyecto y de adaptar éstas a los criterios de desarrollo sostenible.
The growing international concern about the degradation of the environment caused by human beings demands the commitment and collaboration of all. In this sense, higher education institutions assume a notable responsibility, as they are in charge of training future professionals so that in the exercise of their functions they perform their duties with ethical criteria and respect for the ecosystem. Within this framework, this article describes an experience implemented in the Structures 3 course of the current Degree in Architectural Studies at the University of A Coruña, with the aim of raising awareness among students of the environmental impact of project decisions and adapting them to sustainable development criteria.
