En el marco de la ampliación metodológica propuesta por el pensador mendocino Arturo Roig, exponemos la necesidad de una simbólica o semiótica latinoamericana y desentrañamos la teoría del símbolo roigeana, en su doble faceta: axiología y normatividad. Luego, reflexionamos sobre la distinción entre significado y sentido que nos permite abrirnos al sistema metafórico implícito en las palabras como marcas semánticas. Ulteriormente explicitamos las características del universo simbólico: conflictividad, dualismo discursivo y reversión, para así mostrar la interpretación roigeana del Calibán como ejemplo de reversión de la función simbólica. Posteriormente, profundizamos en la vertiente feminista de interpretación de la figura Sycorax como símbolo de resistencia y liberación. Finalmente, destacamos la importancia del pañuelo como símbolo y la lucha de las mujeres en su inclaudicables luchas por sus derechos.
Within the framework of the enlargement methodological proposed by the thinker Arturo Roig, we expose the need for a Latin American symbolic or semiotic and we unravel Roigean symbol theory, in its double facet: axiology and normativity. Then, we reflect on the distinction between signification and meaning that allows us to open ourselves to the metaphorical system implicit in words as semantic marks. Subsequently, we explain the characteristics of the symbolic universe: conflict, discursive dualism and reversal, in order to show the Roigean interpretation of Caliban as an example of reversal of the symbolic function. Subsequently, we delve into the feminist interpretation of the Sycorax figure as a symbol of resistance and liberation. Finally, we highlight the importance of the scarf as a symbol and the struggle of women in their relentless struggle for their rights.
