De entre lo publicado en las dos últimas décadas sobre la cosmovisión de los mayas de Chiapas y la frontera Sur, el libro Yaltsil. Vida, ambiente y persona en la cosmovisión tojol-ab’al (2022) de Fernando Guerrero Martínez solventa un importante faltante sobre las temáticas mencionadas; aborda el problema abarcando de forma holística las nociones de lo humano, el ambiente, lo vivo y la vida, profundizando además en las correspondientes categorías lingüísticas. Aquí se reseña el mencionado libro.
From what was published in the last two decades about the worldview of the Mayans of Chiapas and the southern border, the book Yaltsil. Life, environment and person in the tojol-ab'al worldview (2022) by Fernando Guerrero Martínez solves an important shortcoming on the aforementioned topics; it addresses the problem by holistically covering the notions of the human, the environment, the living and life, also deepening the corresponding linguistic categories.
