El presente artículo explica la cosmovisión de Leonardo da Vinci, quien a través de sus escritos, diseños y obra pictórica, muestra una tensión y ruptura sobre el arte, la belleza y la verdad de su época. La pintura es científica y por ello un arte liberal, pero no manifiesta la verdad sagrada del icono propia de la cosmovisión finalista medieval, sino que será la verdad científica de la Modernidad.
This article explains the philosophy of Leonardo da Vinci, who through his writings, designs and pictorial work, shows a tension and rupture on the art, beauty and truth of his time. Painting is scientific and therefore a liberal art, but it does not manifest the sacred truth of the icon of the medieval finalist worldview, but it will be the scientific truth of Modernity.
