A partir de una investigación sistémica sobre el libro de artista se encontró, entre otros aspectos, que en México la bibliotecología aún no los ha estudiado a profundidad para catalogarlos como libros con perfil bibliográfico y darles el valor de patrimonio cultural-documental. Este texto aborda el entorno del libro de artista, su presencia en bibliotecas y las particularidades que hacen de él un documento librario con valor patrimonial cultural.
From systemic research about the artist’s book it was found, among many other aspects, that in Mexico librarianship has not yet studied them in depth in order to catalog them as books with a bibliographic profile and value them as cultural-documentary heritage. This text addresses the environment of the artist’s book, its presence in libraries and the aspects that make it a book document with heritage-cultural value.
