El sector metalmecánico de servicio del estado Zulia está presente en la interacción con la comunidad circunvecina pero sin ninguna acción de intercambio en busca de beneficios. Basado en esta premisa, se realizó una investigación de tipo descriptiva con diseño de campo, no experimental y transeccional, que tuvo por objetivo contrastar la situación actual de las empresas del sector oferentes de servicios a la industria petrolera con respecto a las relaciones con la comunidad donde se insertan físicamente y la percepción que tiene la comunidad en función de las actividades que estas desarrollan atendiendo a su responsabilidad social. Los resultados evidenciaron que existe una percepción negativa de las comunidades hacia las empresas del sector en lo relativo a las actividades que atienden a su responsabilidad social, aun cuando califiquen las empresas como importantes.
The metalworking service sector of the state of Zulia is present in the interaction with the surrounding community but without any exchange action in search of benefits. Based on this premise, a descriptive research was carried out with a field, non-experimental and transectional design, which aimed to contrast the current situation of companies in the sector that offer services to the oil industry with respect to relations with the community. where they are physically inserted and the perception that the community has based on the activities they carry out in response to their social responsibility. The results showed that there is a negative perception of the communities towards companies in the sector in relation to the activities that address their social responsibility, even when they rate the companies as important.
