La obra monumental que encontramos actualmente en Jaén, embelleciendo sus calles y plazas o pertenece en gran parte al siglo XX y nos relata su historia, sus personajes, sus costumbres y leyendas, o simplemente sirven de ornato a la ciudad.
En este entorno se encuentra la obra escultórica de Constantino Unghetti Álamo, que no solo trabajó en Jaén capital, sino también en la provincia, así como en la de Málaga y Alicante.
Los rasgos fundamentales de su obra están ligados al realismo figurativo con elementos cubistas de elegantes proporciones y de temáticas muy diversas.
Knowing the sculptural processes helps us to better understand the patrimonial work, as well as to value the work of stone, wood and bronze as traditional materials in which the sculpture is made. The monumental work that we currently find in Jaén, embellishing its streets and squares, or largely belongs to the 20th century and tells us its history, its characters, its customs and legends, or simply serves as decoration for the city.
In this environment is the sculptural work of Constantino Unghetti Álamo, who not only worked in the capital Jaén, but also in the province, as well as in Malaga and Alicante.
The fundamental features of his work are linked to figurative realism with cubist elements of elegant proportions and very diverse themes.
