El presente artículo tiene como propósito presentar una aproximación al estado de la cuestión del teatro comunitario en Colombia desde un acercamiento a las investigaciones realizadas entre los años 2016 y 2022. A partir de los hallazgos se reconocen dos temas centrales: la animación teatral como metodología y la dramaturgia del teatro comunitario, como una práctica que favorece los procesos de memoria colectiva. Las investigaciones en teatro comunitario se han enfocado en aspectos relacionados con as subjetividades políticas y sistematizaciones de las prácticas y trayectorias; sin embargo, con los temas hallados se pueden decir que las investigaciones al respecto aún son incipientes.
This article aims to present an approach to the current state of community theater in Colombia through an examination of research conducted between the years 2016 and 2022. Based on the findings, two central themes are recognized: theatrical animation as a methodology, and the dramaturgy of community theater as a practice that enhances processes of collective memory. Research in community theater has focused on aspects related to political subjectivities and the systematization of practices and trajectories. However, based on the identified themes, it can be said that research in this area is still in its early stages.
