Este artículo analiza el rol de los actores religiosos en las comisiones de la verdad de Argentina, Chile, El Salvador, Guatemala, Perú y Colombia, con lo que abre el camino para reflexionar sobre la importancia de estos instrumentos de la justicia transicional en América Latina. Para tal efecto, se recurrió a una investigación cualitativa de orden documental desde el estudio comparado, la cual permitió identificar los aportes de los sectores religiosos, en su mayoría cristianos, a la construcción y búsqueda de la verdad en cada uno de los países que implementaron comisiones de la verdad por diversas circunstancias políticas. El hallazgo es que el accionar de estos actores no ha sido homogéneo y que sus comportamientos han estado sujetos a la realidad sociopolítica de cada país.
This article analyzes the behaviors that religious actors have assumed in the truth commissions in the cases of Argentina, Chile, El Salvador, Guatemala, Peru and Colombia, opening the way to reflect on their importance in these instruments of transitional justice in Latin America. For this purpose, a qualitative documentary research was used from the comparative study, which allowed to identify the contributions that the religious sectors, mostly Christian, have made to the construction and search for the truth in each of these countries that have implemented truth commissions due to various political circumstances, finding that the actions of these actors have not been homogeneous and that, on the contrary, their behavior has been subject to the socio-political reality of each country.
