The initiation to Christian life requires the formation of catechists who are inserted in the celebrating mystery of the Passover of Jesus. The encounter with the person of the Risen One is what will motivate the catechetical action in a kerygmatic way in the transmission of faith, leading the catechized to an encounter not only with the doctrine, but especially with Jesus, the savior. In a mystagogical way, the liturgy, with the richness of its symbols and rites, is what will propel the entrance into the mysteries of salvation. Starting from a methodology anchored in autobiographical narratives, the article points out valuable contributions for the profiling of being and doing catechist in harmony with the present catechetical directory.
A iniciação à vida cristã exige a formação de catequistas que estejam inseridos no mistério celebrativo da páscoa de Jesus. O encontro com a pessoa do ressuscitado é que motivará à ação catequética de forma querigmática na transmissão da fé, conduzindo os catequizandos para o encontro não apenas com a doutrina, mas sobretudo com Jesus, o salvador. De forma mistagógica, a liturgia com a riqueza de seus símbolos e ritos é que impulsionará a entrada nos mistérios de salvação. Partindo de uma metodologia ancorada em narrativas autobiográficas, o artigo sinaliza valiosas contribuições para a perfilação do ser e do fazer-se catequista em harmonia com o hodierno diretório de catequese.
