One of the objectives of this article is to reflect on the future of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education, focusing on the role of the teacher in the teaching-learning process with such technology and emphasizing its benefits and challenges in education. The research methodology is of a qualitative nature of the case study type, also using the bibliographic review to support the study. As results of theresearch it can be shown that the teacher will not be replaced by machines and even through clear examples we will show that this profession is far from being extinct, thus concluding that the teacher should not fear this new scenario, but rather specialize increasingly to deal with new trends in teaching and learning.
O presente artigo possui como um dos objetivos realizar uma reflexão sobre o futuro da Inteligência Artificial (IA) na educação dando foco no papel do professor no processo ensino aprendizagem com tal tecnologia e enfatizar seus benefícios e desafios na educação. A metodológica da pesquisa é de natureza qualitativa do tipo estudo de caso utilizando-se também da revisão bibliográfica para alicerçar o estudo. Como resultados da pesquisa pode-se evidenciar que o professor não será substituído por máquinas e inclusive por meio de exemplos claros mostraremos que esta profissão está longe de ser extinta, concluindo assim que o docente não deve temer a este novo cenário, mas sim, se especializar cada vez mais para lidar com as novas tendencias voltadas ao ensino aprendizado.
