El petro no es moneda ni unidad de cuenta monetaria. Tampoco es un criptoactivo. Se trata de una forma simulada para: i) dolarizar y ii) descontinuar el uso del bolívar (y la UT) como unidad de cuenta de las obligaciones tributarias principales y accesorias. El uso del petro infringe los arts. 318 constitucional, 3 y 146 del COT 2020 y 116 de la LBCV que ordenan el uso del bolívar como unidad de cuenta y pago de las obligaciones tributarias como un requisito de estricta reserva legal
The Petro is neither a currency nor a monetary unit of account. Is not a cryptoasset either. It is a simulated way to (i) dollarize and (ii) disconti¬nue the use of the bolivar (and the UT) as the unit of account for main and accessory tax obligations.
