As mudanças tecnológicas, as novas demandas sócio-históricas e as perspectivas sobre o futuro profissional do Jornalismo fazem com que pesquisadores busquem, dentro do ambiente universitário, compreender esse novo cenário a partir do levantamento dos campos de atuação e os desafios dos recentes profissionais formados na área. Assim, a presente pesquisa tem o objetivo de traçar o perfil e as trajetórias dos egressos do curso de Jornalismo da Universidade de Gurupi (UnirG) a partir de questionário estruturado que discute o cenário profissional na Região Sul do estado do Tocantins. Conclui-se que as reflexões derivadas deste trabalho auxiliam no debate sobre o futuro profissional do jornalista na Região Norte do país.
The technological changes, the new socio-historical demands and the prospects for the professional future of Journalism have made researchers seek, within the university environment, to understand this new scenario, starting from a survey of the fields of activity and the challenges of the recent professionals trained in the area. Thus, the present research aims to trace the profile and trajectories of the graduates of the Journalism course of the University of Gurupi (UnirG) from a structured questionnaire that discusses the professional scenario in the Southern Region of the state of Tocantins. It is concluded that the reflections derived from this work assist in the debate about the professional future of the journalist in the North of the country.
