Este documento aborda el nacimiento de la resistencia andina como respuesta a la dominación española, en un intento de preservar una cosmovisión, cultura y formas de vida, partiendo del Reino de Vilcabamba, analizando las estrategias llevadas a cabo por sus dirigentes Titu Cusi Yupanqui y Túpac Amaru I. Con la caída de este reino el entramado ideológico creado alrededor de la resistencia andina dejará de tener un espacio físico, pero seguirá manifestándose y transformándose, volviendo a resurgir en las rebeliones de Juan Santos Atahualpa y Túpac Amaru II. El contexto histórico es distinto, pero los rasgos culturales y cosmovisión andinas siguieron manifestándose en estos levantamientos, por lo que consiguieron aglutinar a amplios sectores de la población. A pesar de ser derrotados, la resistencia andina adquirió una nueva forma y símbolos, asentándose en el imaginario social y manifestándose en la confección de la historia patria, incluso asimilados por grupos armados del siglo XX.
This document addresses the birth of the Andean resistance as a response to Spanish domination, in an attempt to preserve a world view, culture and ways of life. That stem from the Kingdom of Vilcabamba, analyzing the strategies carried out by its leaders Titu Cusi Yupanqui and Túpac Amaru I. With the fall of this kingdom, the ideological framework created around the Andean resistance will no longer have a physical space, but it will continue to manifest itself and transform, which will lead to the rebellions of Juan Santos Atahualpa and Túpac Amaru II. The historical context is different, but the Andean cultural traits and world view continued to manifest themselves in these uprisings, for which they obtained great support from the population. Despite being defeated, the Andean resistance acquired a new form and symbols, establishing itself in the social imaginary and manifesting itself in the making of the country's history, even assimilated by armed groups of the 20th century.
