En este trabajo se aplica el principio de sostenibilidad a los sistemas agroalimentarios en sus vertientes económica, social y ambiental. En cada una de esas perspectivas, tratamos de identificar las técnicas y los instrumentos empleados en las políticas española y europea desde la década de 1940 hasta la actualidad. El análisis sirve para poner de relieve las carencias en el logro de los objetivos y la fuerte interrelación existente entre ellos. Como conclusión se impone la necesidad de persistir conjuntamente en la realización de las tres modalidades de la sostenibilidad agroalimentaria.
This paper applies the principle of sustainability to agri-food systems in their economic, social and environmental aspects. In each of these perspectives, the aim is to identify the techniques and instruments used in Spanish and European policies from the 1940s to the present. The analysis serves to highlight the gaps in the achievement of the objectives and the strong interrelationship between them. In conclusion, it is necessary to persist jointly in the realization of the three modalities of the sustainability of agri-food systems.
