En el artículo analizo la distinción entre las teorías ideales y no ideales para las concepciones de justicia elaborada por Charles Mills. Del mismo modo, trato la crítica de Mills a la concepción de la justicia como imparcialidad de Rawls, como una teoría ideal, y las razones por las que me parece que la crítica es, en general, equivocada. Para justificar la justicia como imparcialidad, en tanto teoría ideal frente a la crítica de Mills, desarrollo dos argumentos: uno desde la importancia de la estabilidad de la concepción de la justicia y otro sobre la importancia de una teoría ideal para desarrollar una teoría no ideal de justicia.
In this article I analyze the distinction between ideal and non-ideal theories for conceptions of justice made by Charles Mills. I also discuss the Mills criticism of Rawls ́ justice as fairness, as an example of ideal theory, and the reasons for which I find that criticism, in general, wrong. To justify justice as fairness, as an example of ideal theory against Mills ́criticism, I present two arguments: the first developed from the relevance of stability for the conception of justice and another from the needof an ideal theory to develop a non-ideal theory of justice.
