Es crucial reflexionar sobre estos desafíos en la sociedad digital y buscar un equilibrio entre la innovación tecnológica y la protección social.
In the “Fourth Industrial Revolution,” digitization is bringing about profound changes in the economy, the labor market, and social protection. In this context, significant challenges arise, such as the reconfiguration of the production system and its impact on labor relations, including aspects of governance, equality, and the growing prevalence of telecommuting. Digitization also affects the public Social Security system, underscoring its importance as a protective shield in times of uncertainty, as evidenced during the COVID-19 pandemic. Furthermore, it is interesting to consider the impact of new technologies on the compatibility of total permanent disability and severe disability with the possibility of engaging in work activities. It is crucial to reflect on these challenges in the digital society and seek a balance between technological innovation and social protection.
