Esta pesquisa teve como objetivo analisar na literatura a percepção da imagem corporal de alunos da Educação Básica. Foi realizado uma revisão de escopo nas bases de dados da Biblioteca Virtual de Saúde (BVS), SciELO e SCOPUS, no período de janeiro de 2012 à dezembro de 2022. No total foram encontrados 576 estudos e após a leitura dos títulos, resumos e a leitura na íntegra, 13 estudos atenderam aos critérios de inclusão e foram selecionados para a pesquisa. Os resultados mostraram que muitos alunos com idade entre 10 a 19 anos estão insatisfeitos com a sua imagem corporal e fatores como o sobrepeso, a obesidade e sexo feminino estão relacionados a esta insatisfação. Em conclusão, a insatisfação com a imagem corporal em escolares está relacionada ao estado nutricional e ao sexo dos alunos.
This research aimed to analyze the literature on the perception of body image among students from middle school and high school. A scoping review was conducted onthe databases of the Virtual Health Library (VHL), SciELO, and SCOPUS, covering the period from January 2012 to December 2022. A total of 576 studies were identified, and after reviewing titles, abstracts, and full texts, 13 studies met the inclusion criteria and were selected for the analysis. The findings revealed that many students aged 10 to 19 years express dissatisfaction with their body image, and factors such as overweight, obesity, and female gender are associated with this dissatisfaction. In conclusion, dissatisfaction with body image among school-age individuals is linked to their nutritional status and gender.
