In this theoretical essay, we address the social historical debt that has been built over the years, not only inquantitative terms but also in relation to the power and actions of groups in different social spaces. We explore intersectionality and diversity in the context of gender and race, analyzing perspectives from literature to reflect on fundamental aspects of the human experience. Intersectionality is an analytical and heuristic tool that seeks equity, considering the complexity of social constructs. Diversity encompasses various dimensions and impacts both society and organizations, as well as interpersonal interactions. The aim of this study is to understand intersectionality and diversity, delving into angles and perspectives of the intricate and unequal reality of gender and race. It was noticed that current legislation proves ineffective by ignoring the intersection of race and gender, exposing the vulnerability and lack of protection for black women. A joint effort is required to ensure equity and human rights. To promote inclusive changes and practices, it is essential to delve into the subject with those involved, create a supportive structure, and adopt inclusive communication. Mapping audiences and organizing lectures are also crucial, as well as observing individuals in their uniqueness. Overcoming the obstacle of staying in the current state necessitates the appropriation of new knowledge and the expansion of one's repertoire, allowing each individual to achieve their best version. This approach fosters a just society and contributes to a collective journey of evolution.
Neste ensaio teórico, abordamos a dívida histórica social que se construiu ao longo dos anos, não apenas em termos quantitativos, mas relacionada ao poder e atuação de grupos em diferentes espaços sociais. Exploramos a interseccionalidade e a diversidade interagindo com gênero e raça, analisando perspectivas da literatura para refletir sobre aspectos fundamentais na experiência humana. A interseccionalidade é uma ferramenta analítica e heurística que busca a equidade, considerando a complexidade dos construtos sociais. A diversidade engloba diversas dimensões e impacta tanto a sociedade quanto as organizações e interações interpessoais. O objetivo deste estudo é entender a interseccionalidade e a diversidade adentrando em angulações e perspectivas da intrincada realidade desigual do gênero e raça. Percebeu-se que a legislação atual mostra-se ineficaz ao ignorar a interseção entre raça e gênero, expondo a fragilidade e desproteção das mulheres negras. É necessário um esforço conjunto para garantir equidade e direitos humanos. Para promover mudanças e práticas inclusivas, é fundamental aprofundar-se no tema junto com os envolvidos, criar uma estrutura acolhedora e adotar uma comunicação inclusiva. Mapear os públicos e promover palestras também é essencial, assim como observar as pessoas em suas individualidades. Superar o obstáculo de ficar no lugar atual, requer a apropriação de novos conhecimentos e ampliação do repertório, visando permitir que cada indivíduo alcance sua melhor versão. Essa abordagem promove uma sociedade justa e contribui para uma jornada de evolução coletiva.
